"And like I said, I was expecting to find your corpse washing up somewhere. Good to know that wasn't the case after all."

It's also good to see that Rook hasn't been starving, he's obviously got some place with access to running water, being clean under the build-up of working in construction for the day. All little things that point to him not being half a step away from the gutter.
