"I'm not a detective, obviously," Sean admits after wiping his mouth with a napkin. Then he tilts his head to look at Jay's profile, noting the line of his nose that probably has been broken several times, little suggestions of scars and other signs of a hard life.

There's something about him that interests Sean on a very personal level. He doesn't think Jay is here to cause trouble but Sean still wants to know more about him. For himself. (For once.)

"But even without those deductive skills I can see you don't like talking about yourself," he points out with a small smile. "That's okay. I get it. I can work my way up to it."
